On Sunday, October 20th, 2019, 10 violent tornadoes tore through the Dallas Fort Worth area leaving behind a 16-mile path of destruction and hundreds of families disoriented, displaced and in despair. our team was on the ground by sunrise, assessing the damage and providing guidance, comfort and prayers for the families affected. 

As Disaster Liaison, I was immediately tasked with organizing recovery and debris clean-up for the families impacted by this traumatic event, as well as supply collections and distributions, case management, short-notice volunteer organizing, fundraising efforts, community collaborations and media management. We were able to assist over a hundred impacted families and continue to aid with long term recovery.
