Back2School Mega Event
Planned and executed the first Annual Back2School Mega Event serving 1,000 needy youth!
Successfully planned, organized and executed this organization’s first ever Annual Back2School Mega Event serving almost 1,000 children and families with new backpacks and supplies, hygiene kits, haircuts, medical exams and more. Also ran an exciting creative writing/coloring contest on-site, providing thousands of dollars in prizes to help the get the youth excited about the new year.
Secured thousands of dollars in monetary and in-kind donations, worked with over a dozen sponsors, and was joined by various local city officials, school officials, organizational leaders and media (Dallas Morning News). In addition to the Mega Event, I organized over 20 additional smaller distributions throughout the DFW area with backpacks, supplies and mobile health clinics benefiting over 4,000 children in all.
